Description
You know how this is the Year of Self Support? Well, here’s where it gets really practical. Because I can tell you right now, the difference between someone who transforms their life and someone who stays stuck isn’t about knowing more. It’s about checking in with themselves consistently. And I mean really checking in. Because I know it’s easy to just throw around the “yeah, I’m fine” when we’re absolutely not fine.
The Life Unpacked Membership came about because I kept watching people – beautiful, capable, and intelligent people – completely abandon themselves while thinking they were learning about self-care. They’d tell me, “Mel, I’m so much better now. I make sure everyone’s sorted but I’m finding 2 minutes to get to me to journal before I go to sleep.” And I’d gently point out, “But you’re still last on the list. Absolutely I see you trying, and I celebrate you in that you’ve gotten quicker at shuffling everyone else through first so you can take the 2 minutes.” But it’s like we’ve become experts at rearranging the line instead of actually moving ourselves to the front of it.
Because most of us have never been taught how to actually listen to ourselves. Especially in understanding what we need. We’ve been taught to cope, to push through, to be strong, to keep going. But coping isn’t supporting. Coping is just surviving with better packaging. And after everything we’ve been through… you know those life bombs that have stopped us in our tracks… we deserve more than just coping.
We deserve to know how to genuinely support ourselves through whatever life serves up next.
I want that for you, as much as I wanted that for myself and for my clients. So I created this membership and space. A place of belonging and commitment to you from you. Because self support isn’t about “fixing” yourself or setting goals you’ll beat yourself up for not achieving. It’s about developing a relationship with yourself while life unfolds. It’s about learning how to not abandon yourself when things get messy, when someone needs you, when you’re tired, when you’re overwhelmed, when you don’t know what you want anymore.
Think of it like this…
Think of yourself as a bank account that everyone has direct debit access to. They’re withdrawing constantly… your partner needs this, your kids need that, your work needs you, your friends need support, your parents need help. And you keep approving every transaction because that’s what you do, that’s who you are. The thing with that is, if you’re only making withdrawals and never making deposits, eventually you’re going to be overdrawn. And we all know what happens when you’re overdrawn.You get hit with fees, penalties, stress. The bank doesn’t care that you were being generous. It just knows you’re in the red.
Yet somehow, we think we can run our own energy account differently. We think we can just keep giving and giving without ever putting anything back in. And then we’re shocked when we’re completely bankrupt, when we’ve got nothing left, when even the smallest request feels like it’s going to break us. You wouldn’t run your actual bank account like that. So why are you running your energy account that way?
So what’s the alternative?
Self Support. And in the Life Unpacked Membership It looks like this…
The check-in process I’m guiding you in is about catching yourself before you hit that overdrawn limit. It’s about pausing. Actually stopping, to ask yourself the questions that matter. Not “what should I do?” but “how do I feel? What do I need? How do I support that?” It’s about aligning everything back to your values, your truth, your authentic self. Because when you check in with your value – say it’s authenticity or truth or kindness to yourself – then you can catch yourself out when you’re about to over-give, over-commit, or abandon yourself again.
Here’s what to expect in the Life Unpacked Membership to help you self support this in practice:
- Instant Access to Full Workshop Library: access to the complete 67‑episode Workshop collection with video, audio and summary notes to take them at your pace, whichever way you’d like to support yourself so you can piece your truth together at your own pace (just like Gerrie did at age 79);
- Life Unpacked with Mel Space: fortnightly online group sessions with a focus on one of the workshops, and a Q&A to help you see the themes in your story and understand the patterns that keep you feeling like a leftover;
- Connection with others: a caring group of people like you who know what it’s like to finally become the choice in their own lives;
- Practical tools and frameworks: simple, repeatable practices you can use in real time – not just theory.
What this gives you is something may not have experienced before. The ability to stay connected to yourself even when life gets messy. And it will get messy. That’s the whole point of being here as your earthy self. But when you’re practicing self support you’ll have these check-ins in place, when you know your boundaries, when you understand what your body is telling you, and when you’re aligned with your values. This means you don’t abandon yourself anymore. You might still give to others, you might still show up for your family, your work, your friends. But you’re doing it from a place of choice, not obligation. You’re doing it with your energy at least 50%, hopefully more, not 3% anymore.

My invitation to you is this…
Commit to yourself support for 3 months. Watch or listen to the workshops, understand the practices, come to the fortnightly group sessions, pause and check in with yourself consistently and you won’t be last on your list anymore. Imagine what it will be like to not be the leftover like the mouldy cheese in the back of your fridge. No longer running on empty wondering why you feel so resentful, so tired, so disconnected from yourself.
The Life Unpacked Membership exists because…
I don’t want you to do this alone. It’s where you get the full workshop library, the fortnightly group sessions, the Q&As, the connection with others who are learning this too. It’s where you practise choosing yourself with guidance and support. Because it’s not possible to “think” your way into becoming your own life jacket. You need to practise it. You need to learn what it feels like to move yourself from the back of the fridge to the front.
This is the year of self-support. Not the year of coping better. Or just barely getting by. Not the year of being stronger. Or pushing through to simply survive. The year of actually, genuinely, consistently supporting yourself. And it starts with one check-in. One question. One moment where you pause and ask yourself, “Am I okay? How do I feel? What do I need?”
My reminder to you is that you don’t need a life bomb to begin. You don’t have to wait until you’re drowning. You can choose it right now. And when you do, when you commit to checking in with yourself, when you stop abandoning yourself, when you learn to support yourself through whatever unfolds, things get to change for you. Because that’s when you finally come home to yourself.
And if the answer to that one question check in of “What do I need?” is support. Then add this membership to cart and check out. And you can get started straight away.
